Some businesses start with a business plan. This one started with a go-kart.

A few years back the idea of electric vehicles started pulling at my curiosity — specifically electric go-karts and just how much raw, instant power they had. No warm-up, no lag, just torque the moment you touched the throttle. The problem was the one I wanted was just over $2,000 and that wasn't happening. So I did what anyone would do — spent two weeks hunting for a cheaper one until I found it for half the price. Felt like it was meant to be.

Brought it home, had a blast for a few days, and then reality hit. The battery life was terrible. Posted it for sale, made a little money on top of what I paid, and started looking at what else was out there.

That's when Surron showed up on my radar.

What caught my attention wasn't just the performance — it was the reliability. Surron has been building electric off-road bikes for over eight years. The battery technology is dialed. The kinks are worked out.

Meanwhile I'd always kept my distance from gas dirt bikes because everyone I knew who rode them spent half their time fixing them. Oil changes, engine problems, constant maintenance. The idea of an electric dirt bike made perfect sense to me — no gas, no oil, no maintenance, and nothing to break down.

So I went down a full year rabbit hole on Surrons. Researched everything. Rode everything I could get my hands on. And somewhere in that year it stopped being a curiosity and became a passion.

My wife caught the bug too — and that tells you everything you need to know about how approachable these bikes are. If you can ride a bicycle you can ride a Surron. No clutch. No shifting. Just brakes and throttle. The learning curve is basically nonexistent.

Eventually the passion turned into a business. I'm located about 37 minutes west of Spokane and built MK Motorsport Supply to bring this experience to the Pacific Northwest the right way — bikes physically in stock, local pickup by appointment, and someone you can actually talk to when you have questions.

No overseas shipping. No two-month waits. No uncertainty.

Just a guy who loves these bikes, believes in what they can do, and wants to put you on one.
